VIDEO: First T-shot. My testosterone-fuelled journey. Non-binary transition. 08.10.2015.

First shot done!!! Let’s see how deep the rabbithole goes… Thank you, Tyler and Trent! Glad to have broken my shotnight virginity with my brothers. Ang – thank you for your video skillz and for being there.

I must say that it was a HUGE relief having done the first shot – all of that build up and now I can just relax.

People say that you’ll know within the first week if T is for you. I’m now worrying, as an overthinker, that it might not be for me. But other than that paranoia I’m trying really hard to just go with what happens, relax and go with the flow, as it were. I’m taking it easy this week, relaxing on the gym and training so that I can just recover from the emotional tension of the past 6 weeks. I must say that after 6 weeks of insomnia I slept like a (newborn) baby last night… Bring on second puberty!

I am a non-binary/genderqueer transgender person on testosterone, journeying through a non-binary transition / genderqueer transition, documenting my physical, emotional and spiritual changes. I will say what no one else says. I will question male privilege, highlight toxic masculinity. I will be the best transmasculine feminist I can be. Explore gender, living as more than one gender in a lifetime and society’s responses to gender and gendered things with me. My mission? To embody the best of masculinity and femininity, by being as self-reflexive as possible. Follow my journey here and on Instagram – @Life_Writ_Large and WordPress –
