VIDEO: Masculinity and feeling unsafe

I’ve been on T for 5 months today and I’ve realised that the more I change physically, the more unsafe I feel in public. I chat about masculinity and feeling unsafe, social perceptions.

  1. “my whole existence right now is about vulnerability” – yes this! I so relate and on safety too. When I was perceived as a straight/queer cis woman I felt an everpresent sense of danger, but it is entirely different now as a perceived-queer/gender-nonconforming person. The key difference is that people knew how to place me before – either as straight or gay – and they had a framework for it. But when the gender framework drops away too, that’s when things get really dicey.
