Spoons? What is the Spoon Theory? A helpful language for all self-care peeps. Also, how to “explain” living with an invisible disability/condition/ minority identity

What ARE we going on about when we say we don’t have “spoons”? Read this. Trust me.

It’s just a great way of creating a common language so that we don’t have to exhaust ourselves trying to explain ourselves in our varying pop psychology, personal, cultural, etc. languages.

Great for putting yourself in another person’s shoes, for “explaining” what it’s like to live with an invisible disability, but also for all people going through stress, difficult times and general inability to say “no”. #selfcare #selfworth #selflove
