“All I’ve ever learned from love, Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew you” #notestoself to/while heal/ing #15

The biggest thing I’m struggling with at the moment: having so much love to give and not enough ways to express it. Probably (definitely), because expressing it at all is enough. Because seeing it is enough. Probably (definitely) also struggling with it because as much as I see love everywhere, I can’t take it in. Because I feel not enough (unworthy of it).
Fuck. Need a hug right now. (Edit: HUG. It IS enough to receive a virtual hug with real feeling behind it as opposed to a real life hug with no feeling).
That’s part of what I love about the message of #findingbeautyinnegativespaces, and why I preach it so often – we have so much love to give and receive as humans. And we do so little of both. And THAT is what’s wrong with the world.
“The opposite of love is not hate, it’s power.” – Shantaram.
The fear of being powerless drives hate. The fear of being hated drives hate. The PainfulBeautiful irony: we are ALL powerless.
The fear of loving and not being loved in return drives anger, resentment, rejecting before you’re rejected.
“All I’ve ever learned from love, Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew you” – Hallelujah.
The fear of being loved because we don’t feel worthy of it. The PainfulBeautiful irony: we are ALL enough. We are ALL worthy of giving and receiving love. #truthscloakedinthetriteandcliched
